Is a Two State Solution Prophecy?
Is a Two State Solution Prophecy?
The idea of a two state solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is over a hundred years old. The concept, in its current proposal, is one of a Jewish state side by side with a Palestinian state that consists of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The idea of a two-state solution was first proposed by the British in the Balfour Declaration of 1917. Successive agencies such as The League of Nations, the United Nations and several American administrations have persisted in their efforts but all have failed.
Most Arab states have tired of the Palestinian refusals for an agreement and have moved on with their lives initiated by the Abraham Accords.
Now, however, the international community may be about to force a solution on the two parties. When I say “force”, I’m reacting to Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statement that he is against a two-state solution, as outlined by the United States, which does not have Israel as the security force.
President Biden stated recently:
“There’s no going back to the status quo as it stood on October the 6th. It means a concentrated effort from all parties – Israelis, Palestinians, regional partners, global leaders – to put us on a path toward peace.”
The Biden administration is demanding that after the war, Israel is not to occupy Gaza and for Palestinian forces to be inserted under the control of the Palestinian Authority. These are the same people who brought you pay for slay, massive embezzlement of foreign aid, the cancellations of several elections and constant terrorism. Israel will never agree to this.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated:
“We must act decisively today to finally achieve a two-state solution with Israel and Palestinians living side by side in peace and security.”
United Nations Chief, Antonio Guterres, stated:
“The refusal to accept a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians, and the denial of the right to statehood for the Palestinian people is unacceptable. The right of the Palestinian people to build their own state must be recognized by all.”
The European Union’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, stated:
“We believe a two-state solution (Israeli and Palestinian) must be imposed by the outside to bring peace back, even if, and I insist, Israel reaffirms its refusal (of this solution), and to prevent it they have gone so far as to create Hamas itself.”
In other words, Israel will be responsible for creating the terrorists who want Palestine free from the river to the sea if they do not acquiesce to the international community! Even though it has been the Palestinians who have refused every offer of statehood for more than 110 years, it’s Israel that will be blamed. Could he be more openly antisemitic? Is it even a surprise anymore that the world talks this way?
Even Pope Francis has chimed in saying a two-state solution is needed and called for a special status for Jerusalem by internationalizing it. This would take Israel’s capital away and make it the only international city in the world. These statements are a huge red flag.
Sure, the Palestinians are saying they want a two-state solution now because when they possessed the very land they claim to want today, they attacked Israel from it. Don’t think for a moment that an agreement giving this land back under Palestinian authority and security will end this conflict. It will inflame it.
The major flaw in the minds of Western nations is the naïve notion that a two-state solution will solve all the problems in the Middle East. With their heads in the sand they ignore calls for Israels destruction from countries throughout the world everyday. They believe that if they just give the Palestinians a state that Jews, Arabs, Persians and the rest of the antisemites of the world will live in peace and perfect harmony.
The reconstruction of a Palestinian society will be designed and implemented by the West. It will be the consummation of post WWII nation building and will be the last border in history drawn by Western powers, whether the Israelis and Palestinians like it or not. However the drawing of these borders will have dire consequences for the world.
An international community with a religious component imposing geo-political solutions on Israel has Bible prophecy written all over it. What they may be doing are planting the seeds for the Tribulation period and ultimately, Armageddon.
The Holy Land is not Israel’s to give away and the international community has no authority to divide it up.
“Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered unto a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.” The phrase “spread my skirt over thee” here in Ezekiel 16:8 is a Hebraism or a Hebrew figure of speech meaning “to wed”. God has married this land and it is His.
We see this clearly spelled out in Leviticus 25:23, “The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.”
We see it again in Joel 1:6-7 where God warns about coming against His land, or fig tree, as Israel is referred to in the Bible:
6. For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.
7. He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
The Palestinians deserve the right to govern themselves on land some of them have lived on for centuries, but the West acts as if the Palestinians are Canadians or some other civil society.
I’ve been to Israel. I’ve been in East Jerusalem and even in Hebron in the West Bank. The Palestinians were some of the most friendliest people I came across while there.
One day in Tel-Aviv, while I was waiting outside a hotel for my mother and wife who were shopping down the street, a Palestinian man ran into the lobby of the hotel and began stabbing people. He had no idea what nationality the people he was attacking even were.
I was immediately struck by the fact that some of the same Palestinians I had encountered in Israel could just as quickly commit an act such as this.
When going to a mall in Tel-Aviv one day, our car had to be searched underneath and in the trunk before we could even park in the structure.
Resistance by attacking military targets is understandable. Blowing up wedding parties, school buses full of children or random stabbings in hotels or bus stops reveals the dark conditioning that permeates Palestinian society. Unless you’ve actually seen how the Israeli’s have to live, you have no concept of the constant fear they live with.
The Palestinian people have had over 50 years of propaganda and brainwashing causing them to instinctively hate Jews, most of this done in United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) schools.
This very day most Palestinians are calling for Palestine to be cleansed from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have reiterated that no matter how the war in Gaza ends, they will continue fighting until all Jews are dead. You can see why Israel is reluctant to hand this land over again without security guarantees, especially to anyone associated with the Palestinian Authority or the United Nations. They did this once in Gaza in 2005 and we witnessed the results of that on October 7th.
The reason I believe this latest effort to impose a two-state solution on Israel is so dangerous, comes from the prophet Daniel. He prophesied that there would be an agreement that many believe will be a peace treaty between the Palestinians/Arabs and Israel. It will be an international pact as seen in Daniel 9:27, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”
The prophesy here says “week” but to those who are familiar with the whole prophesy of Daniel’s seventy weeks, each week is actually seven years. The “he” is the Antichrist and the coming out event in the middle of the seven year agreement is called “the abomination of desolation” in the Bible. This is when the Antichrist desecrates the daily sacrifice and oblation by saying he is the savior and there is no more need of a daily sacrifice.
Daniel 11:36-39 is all about the Antichrist and his actions in the final seven years:
36. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
We see it again in Micah 2:4, “In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.”
No one knows the specifics of this newest peace agreement so we don’t know if this is the one Daniel spoke of. If it isn’t, one will surely come.
The reason this is all related to the end times is that the agreement will be arranged by the Antichrist. It also means the temple destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. will be rebuilt because it’s in the temple that the Antichrist reveals himself to the world. This revealing comes in the middle of the seven year agreement and this seven year period ends with the battle of Armageddon as seen in Joel 3:1-2:
1. For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2. I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
The agreement will bring a temporary false peace, but ultimately it will lead to sudden destruction as we read in I Thessalonians 5:1-3:
1. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
We read that after the abomination of the desolation takes place, this false peace will end the two-state solution as stated in Matthew 24:15-16:
15. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16. Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Judea is in The West Bank and this verse implies the settlements may end up behind enemy lines in the two-state solution. When the war breaks out the Jews are warned to run for their lives.
God also warns all who want to be involved in the two-state solution in Zechariah 12:1-6:
1. The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
6. In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
We read of another warning in Zechariah 14:12, “And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.”
This sounds a lot like a nuclear exchange.
These verses also address the Pope’s desire to make Jerusalem an international city as part of the two-state solution.
Jerusalem has never been a capital of any nation in history other than Israel. The Pope should know better. His aspirations for Israel and Jerusalem in particular, in conjunction with some of his statements recently, makes one wonder if he actually understands the book he professes to represent? His statements also give credence to the many Christians that believe a future Pope will be the false prophet that works hand in hand with the Antichrist.
For the many Muslims who demand that Israel be divided up, they must not understand their own book, The Qur’an, either because it states in Sura 5:20-21:
20. And when Moses said to his people: O my people, remember the favor of Allah to you when He raised prophets among you and made you kings and gave you what He gave not to any other of the nations.
21. O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has ordained for you and turn not your backs, for then you will turn back losers.
Imam Muhammad Al-Hussaini, a British Imam, stated that many traditional commentators from the 8th and 9th century onwards have consistently interpreted the Qur'an as saying God gave the Land of Israel to the Jewish people as an eternal covenant. The Palestinians have no right, legally or religiously, to demand Israel or Jerusalem as their capital.
The best solution being put forward is by a man named Tass Saada and his Hope of Peace foundation. It envisions a federation with a self governed Palestinian state within a greater Israel. Israel would control the security of the state but will also offer complete citizenship and greater economic opportunity for the Palestinians.
Unfortunately, the Bible is clear about how all this ends.
I realize people have been declaring the end of the world for two thousand years. What they have failed to understand is that certain benchmarks have to be in place.
· Israel had to become a country, which it did in 1948.
· A seven year peace agreement has to be in place.
· The Jews must be allowed to rebuild the temple.
· The daily sacrifices must begin again.
· The Antichrist must declare himself in the temple and end the daily sacrifice.
· The two witnesses must begin their ministry in the middle of the seven year period.
· The world must be in the midst of a global war.
The end will not happen and Jesus will not return tomorrow, next month or next year. All of these conditions have to be in place before He does.
It remains to be seen if this new urgency to create a Palestinian state is indeed Daniel’s prophecy. If somewhere in it there’s a seven year timeline and if it allows Israel to rebuild the temple, you can start the clock. Matthew 24:36 states, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
Jesus did say however in Matthew 24:32-33:
32. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
The fig tree put forth its leaves in 1948 so if the rest of the benchmarks are part of this new two-state solution, it is the time of the season.
